ARCT Diploma in Piano Performance, awarded in 2019 by the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM)
Published two books:
My life has been shaped by a blend of music, science, and a deep-rooted commitment to service. From the moment I first touched the piano keys at the age of four, music became an inseparable part of my life. By the age of seven, I joined the VAM Symphony Orchestra as a violinist ( it has been nearly 10 years since I joined VAM Symphony Orchestra), and music has since been a part of my identity. Each performance, rehearsal, and practice session taught me discipline, creativity, and teamwork. These experiences cultivated my leadership skills and fostered a profound sense of personal growth.
Music has not only been an important element of my life but has also shaped who I am today. It has taught me to embrace challenges and find joy in self-discovery. Through my musical journey, I founded the Music Bridge Foundation Canada, where I use music as a medium to connect communities and inspire others. This work has deepened my understanding of the power of music in fostering empathy. While music played a central role in my life, my passion for science also grew, especially during my medical volunteering in Peru, Africa, and Canada. It was through these experiences that I was introduced to the complexities of global healthcare and the disparities that exist in underserved communities.
To address these challenges, I launched the Youth Advocates for Global Health Association to empower young people to advocate for health equity and address global health challenges. My experiences during international medical missions, particularly in Kenya, revealed significant disparities in healthcare and inspired me to create a platform for youth to engage in meaningful discussions, raise awareness, and contribute to solutions. I believe that the voices of young advocates are crucial for promoting global health equity and fostering sustainable change. Through this organization, we organize webinars, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and mobilize our peers to take action, ensuring that the next generation is prepared to tackle urgent health issues. These missions allowed me to serve others directly, reinforcing my belief that I was born to help people. The sense of achievement I feel when resolving problems for those in need drives me to continue this work.
As the founder and president of my school’s Model United Nations (MUN) Club, I have created a platform for students to engage in global issues, fostering critical thinking and leadership among my peers. My co-presidency of the STEM Club has allowed me to further explore the intersection of science and service, encouraging students to innovate and problem-solve.
My work as an ambassador for UNESCO Africa has been particularly meaningful. Through this role, I have advocated for global health equity and sustainable development. Whether through promoting global health or raising awareness about healthcare disparities, I’ve been able to use my leadership positions to make a positive change, both locally and globally.
Looking back on my journey, I recognize the meaningful connection among music, science, and service. Music has nurtured my resilience, creativity, and empathy, while science has honed my critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Together, these passions inspire my dedication to making a positive impact. Whether through leading my nonprofit organizations that advocate for global health, mentoring younger students, or serving the community through music, I am deeply committed to serving my community and addressing global challenges.
In everything I do, I strive to embody the values of compassion and leadership. Music, science, and service are not just interests—they form the foundation of who I am. I look forward to continuing my contributions to healthcare, music education, and service, driven by my passion for helping others and my commitment to creating a more equitable world.
